Theory of Change 2018-19

As part of the foundation’s continuous learning objective, Board member Dr. Mario Hernandez led Conn’s Board and staff developing its very first Theory of Change over seven years ago. This is a methodology that defines and describes long-term goals and then illustrates a plan for achieving the desired results. We revisit and rework our Theory of Change on a regular basis. Going through this challenging process has been a game-changer for our foundation. We see it is a dynamic document. It has life. It flows backwards, but advances forward as it stays true to its “pathways to change” by providing Board and staff a valuable tool that encourages innovation, strengthens grant making and collaboration, and allows us to evaluate and measure progress to learn and improve.
