Informal coaching is provided to our grantees by the Foundation staff, board and community partners. We seek to be a resource and connector enabling organizations to grow and benefit from our expertise and longevity in the nonprofit sector.

Nonprofit Leadership Center

The Conn Memorial Foundation has a deep commitment to providing the nonprofit sector with opportunities to build organizational capacity. To that end, Conn provides funding and leadership to the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay (NLCTB) and encourages all nonprofits in the Tampa Bay area to take advantage of this important resource.

The NLCTB offers professional development programs for all levels of staff and volunteers.

• Board Members are trained about best practices and their roles and responsibilities as community leaders.
• Executive Management training is offered in partnership with the University of Tampa School of Business through a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
• Other courses are also offered in Fund Development, Nonprofit Accounting, Volunteer Management, Disaster Planning & Technology Planning.
